| What do I need to do for a Distance Healing session? The most important thing you can do is to give yourself at least an hour where you know you can be quiet, lie down, sit still, and be comfortable in a calm environment. No phones, email, doorbells. I know it’s not always possible to have completely quiet surroundings, but try to be in a room by yourself where you can light a candle, play some soothing and relaxing music if you like, pull the curtains – whatever you need to do to create some peace in your space. I ask you to sit or lie down so that your physical body can completely relax. We will talk either at that scheduled time, or we will have spoken earlier about any issues you may want to work on, or what sorts of things are coming up for you in your daily life, and we will have discussed various ways in which I would like you to focus during the session (on your breath, on your heart, etc.). Then you’ll hang up the phone, or settle down at the arranged time, and we will begin. The session lasts 50-60 minutes. I will work on you as though we were in the same room together. For your part, you may fall asleep, be deeply relaxed, have various—usually fleeting—feelings of joy, sadness, anger, cry, laugh, or all of the above! It depends on what we’re working on and on your process. At the end of the session you may decide to sleep, eat, or go about your day, just as you would if you were seeing me in person. And I will remind you to drink plenty of water for the next 72 hours to help your body process the shifts it has gone through. I will then call or email you later that day or the following day with any follow-up information I have for you. |
